Grid

Grid#

The grid inputs are for interconnection limits or other limits on the system’s production imposed by the grid, and for modeling grid outages. The grid is a source of electricity that can be used to meet the electric load, system self consumption (inverter night-time consumption, heat transfer fluid heaters and pumps, etc.), and to charge batteries. Electricity generated by the system can also be delivered to the grid.

  • The Grid Limits page has inputs for an interconnection limit and grid curtailment schedule.

  • The Grid Outage page for behind-the-meter systems with battery storage has inputs for modeling periods of time when the grid is out of service.
